# Commands & permissions

Keys of Cuxial Pause Menu and how the menu is used. It has no commands and no permissions.

Cuxial Pause Menu has no chat commands. Everything is done with two keys and the buttons of the menu.

## Keys

| Key            | What it does                                                     |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <kbd>Esc</kbd> | Opens the menu. Default from `keys.menu`.                        |
| <kbd>P</kbd> | Opens the GTA map directly, on release. Default from `keys.map`. |

Each player can rebind both in the GTA settings, under key bindings for FiveM. They appear as "Open the pause menu" and "Open the map".

Inside the menu:

| Key                       | What it does                                |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| <kbd>↑</kbd> <kbd>↓</kbd> | Moves through the shortcuts.                |
| <kbd>Enter</kbd>          | Picks the selected shortcut.                |
| <kbd>Esc</kbd> | Closes the menu, or folds the quit options. |

## Shortcuts

| Shortcut         | What it does                                                                                                          |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Back to the game | Closes the menu. |
| Map | Opens the GTA map. <kbd>Esc</kbd> closes it and returns to the game. |
| Settings | Opens the GTA settings: graphics, audio and controls. |
| Quit | Unfolds three options: **Disconnect** leaves the server, **Quit the game** closes FiveM, **Cancel** folds them again. |

{% hint style="info" %}
The menu does not open while another interface has the cursor, such as an inventory or a phone.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.cuxial.com/scripts/interface/cuxial-pausemenu/commands.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
