# Commands & permissions

The Cuxial Safezones command, the zone editor keys and the permissions staff need.

Cuxial Safezones has one staff command. Players have no commands: zones apply to them on their own.

## Commands

| Command      | Who                              | What it does          |
| ------------ | -------------------------------- | --------------------- |
| `/crearzona` | Staff with the permissions below | Opens the zone panel. |

{% hint style="info" %}
The command name comes from `command.name` in `shared/config.lua`.
{% endhint %}

## Panel

| Section | What it does                                                                                                  |
| ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Zones | Lists the zones. Select one to edit its settings, rename it, turn it off or on, draw its volume or delete it. |
| Create | Sets the name and the rules, then opens the editor to draw the zone. |
| Log | Shows who created each zone and when it was last changed. |

A zone that is turned off stays in the panel with its outline and settings, but does not apply to anyone.

{% hint style="info" %}
To change the shape of a zone, delete it and draw it again. Its rules, sign and exceptions are edited at any time.
{% endhint %}

## Editor keys

The editor uses a free camera. These keys are fixed.

| Key                                                 | What it does                                                                      |
| --------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| <kbd>W</kbd> <kbd>A</kbd> <kbd>S</kbd> <kbd>D</kbd> | Moves the camera.                                                                 |
| <kbd>Q</kbd> / <kbd>E</kbd>                         | Moves the camera up / down.                                                       |
| <kbd>Shift</kbd> / <kbd>Alt</kbd>                   | Faster / slower camera.                                                           |
| Left click | Places a vertex where you are aiming. The floor of the zone moves to that height. |
| Right click | Removes the last vertex. |
| Mouse wheel | Raises or lowers the ceiling, one metre per step. |
| <kbd>↑</kbd> <kbd>↓</kbd> | Raises or lowers the floor, one metre per step. |
| <kbd>Enter</kbd> | Closes the zone and saves it. Needs at least 3 vertices. |
| <kbd>Backspace</kbd>                                | Cancels.                                                                          |

## Permissions

| Action                                                | Requirement                              |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| Run `/crearzona`                                      | ACE `command.crearzona`                  |
| Create, edit, rename, turn off, draw or delete a zone | ACE `admin` (the value of `command.ace`) |

{% code title="server.cfg" %}

```cfg
add_ace group.admin admin allow
add_ace group.admin command.crearzona allow
```

{% endcode %}

The server checks the `admin` ACE on every change, so opening the panel is not enough to modify a zone. Each staff member can save up to 12 changes every 10 seconds (`limits` in the config).

Exceptions inside a zone are not staff permissions. They are set per zone in the panel: see [Configuration](/scripts/core/cuxial-safezones/configuration.md#exceptions).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.cuxial.com/scripts/core/cuxial-safezones/commands.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
