# Features guide

How owners, employees, customers and admins use Cuxial Gas Stations in game.

What each kind of player does with a station, from buying it to running the wash bays, and what staff control from the admin panel.

## Buying a station

Each station has a **Manage gas station** interaction at its office point. On a station with no owner it opens the purchase dialog: price, account charged, what is included and the stock rule. The buyer receives the station and the starter fleet vehicle.

* A player can own as many stations as `limits.stationsPerPlayer` allows (1 by default).
* Selling it back pays the station's `sellPrice` plus whatever is in its cash box. Staff, jobs and history are deleted.
* If the total stock stays below the minimum for too long, the station is lost. The purchase dialog and the panel both show the rule.

## The owner panel

The same interaction opens the panel for the owner and the employees. Each page needs a minimum role.

| Page | What it is for |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Summary** | Statistics since the purchase, reputation, rename and blip colour and icon. |
| **Fuel** | Stock per tank and pump price of each fuel, electric charger unlock, soap and water stock. |
| **Contracts** | Import fuel to fill the tanks or export the surplus. |
| **Fleet** | Buy and sell the station's vehicles; take a detailing van out. |
| **Drivers** | Post delivery jobs and wash jobs for other players. |
| **Employees** | Hire, fire, change roles, pay commissions. |
| **Wash** | Service prices, wash slots, van rental, NPC customers, mobile detailing and commissions. |
| **Promotions** | Happy hours and free-wash vouchers.                                                        |
| **Upgrades** | Tank capacity, garage, supplier relationship, pressure washers and detailing. |

The notices inbox and its settings open from the panel header.

## Supply contracts and delivery jobs

**Contracts** are driven by the owner or an employee:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Pick the contract

Choose a size, a fleet vehicle and a fuel. The vehicle's capacity sets the litres of the run, up to the cap of the contract. An import is paid from the cash box; an export pays into it on completion.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Drive the route

The vehicle appears at the station lot. A mission overlay lists the steps and the GPS marks the destination. Exports load at the station bay first.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Load and unload

At a point with a bay, line the vehicle up on the marked bay, take the hose, connect it and wait for the transfer. Moving the vehicle with the hose connected rips it. At a point with no bay, a single key press loads or unloads.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Return

Bring the vehicle back to the station. Imported fuel enters the tank; anything over the capacity is lost.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Soap arrives in drums that are carried by hand from the vehicle to the station's supply point. Water comes from the mains: the stock refills on its own and the station pays a water bill.

**Delivery jobs** let other players do the run. The owner sets the litres, the fuel and the reward; the cost is reserved from the cash box. Any player takes the job at the station's **Gas station jobs** point and is paid on delivery. The owner cannot take the jobs of their own station.

## Staff and roles

Employees have one of three roles: basic, advanced or full. Each action and each panel page has a minimum role, set in `roles` in the config. Selling the station is always reserved for the owner.

Employees start and end their **shift** at the jobs point. NPC customers and mobile detailing offers only reach employees who are on shift. The shift closes on its own when the employee stays away from the station too long.

## Pressure washers

A station can have several **wash slots**. An admin places them on the map; the **Pressure washers** upgrade turns on the first ones.

1. The customer uses **Take the gun** on the washer and picks a service: rinse, foam or wax. The price goes to the station cash box, and the service uses soap and water from the stock.
2. A guide on screen walks through the stages: spray soap, scrub with the sponge, rinse, and apply wax if the service includes it.
3. One key switches between water and soap. Pulling the hose too far breaks it and costs a fee.
4. A waxed car gets dirty more slowly for a while.

**Public washers** have no owner and their money goes to no cash box. Each one works in one of two modes: self-service (anyone pays to use it) or job (only the jobs listed in the config, who are paid per clean car).

## Detailing van

The **Detailing** upgrade unlocks three things, one per level:

| Level | Unlocks                                                                                                                                                                |
| ----- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1 | The detailing van in the fleet. Staff take it out and wash anywhere with the hose in its rear doors. It carries its own soap and water, loaded from the station stock. |
| 2 | Van rental. Other players rent a van by the hour at the jobs point, with a deposit that is returned minus damage and late fees. |
| 3 | Mobile detailing. Customers request a wash where they are. |

**Mobile detailing**: the customer uses `/detailing` or sends a message to the detailing company on the phone, picks a service and confirms the quote (service price plus a fee per kilometre). On-shift employees get an offer card; the one who accepts drives a van to the customer and washes the car. The customer is charged when the job is accepted and refunded if it is not completed.

## NPC customers

With an employee on shift near the station, dirty cars driven by NPCs arrive at the bay of an active wash slot. The employee serves the customer, washes the car and the customer pays the service to the cash box, plus a commission and a tip for the washer. Hourly, daily and server-wide caps limit how much money this creates.

## Wash jobs

The owner can publish wash jobs: a pay per car and a number of cars, reserved from the cash box. Other players accept the job at the jobs point, wash cars at the station's washers for free and are paid for each clean one.

## Promotions, reputation and notices

* **Happy hour**: a discount on fuel, washes or both, on chosen days and hours (server time).
* **Free wash when refuelling**: a voucher for a wash service after buying a minimum of litres at the same station.
* **Reputation**: customers rate the station after a wash, a refuel, a rental or a mobile job. NPC customers, sales with no stock, unanswered detailing requests and spills count too. A better rating brings more NPC customers and a small extra supplier discount. The rating is shown on the map blip.
* **Notices**: low stock, customers waiting, lost or overdue vans, rating drops, abandon risk and a daily summary. The owner chooses which ones to receive and can add a Discord webhook for the station.

## Fuel spills

Requires Cuxial Fuel. Driving off with the nozzle in the tank leaves a puddle next to the pump and the station loses the spilled litres. A puddle can catch fire from an explosion, a nearby fire, a gunshot or an engine starting on top of it. Staff clean it with an interaction, using water from the station stock.

## Admin panel

`/gasadmin` opens the panel for staff with the admin permission.

| Section              | What it does                                                                                                                                      |

| **Usage** | Pump sales across all stations. |
| **Log** | Admin actions and station events. |

### Rules

Rules change a value for one station, for several at once or for all of them, and apply without a restart. The order is: station rule, then global rule, then the config file. Use them to cap prices, lock an upgrade, limit NPC money or switch a feature off at a single station.

{% hint style="info" %}
A value changed with a rule no longer follows `shared/config.lua`. If an edit to the config seems to have no effect, check the rules of that station in the admin panel.
{% endhint %}

### Point editor

**Edit on the map** takes you to the point with a proposal ready. You place the bay (where the vehicle parks) and the prop (where the hose comes from), then save. The change applies to everyone at once.

| Key                                       | Action                      |
| ----------------------------------------- | --------------------------- |
| <kbd>Tab</kbd>                            | Switch between bay and prop |
| Arrows, <kbd>PgUp</kbd> / <kbd>PgDn</kbd> | Move                        |
| <kbd>Q</kbd> / <kbd>E</kbd>               | Rotate                      |
| <kbd>Shift</kbd>                          | Move faster                 |
| <kbd>G</kbd>                              | Bring it to your position   |
| <kbd>R</kbd>                              | Propose a position again    |
| <kbd>C</kbd>                              | Change the prop             |
| <kbd>Enter</kbd>                          | Save                        |
| <kbd>Backspace</kbd>                      | Exit without saving         |

The same editor places wash slots, public washers and supply points. New destinations are created from your position with **New location here**. Factory locations can be disabled or hidden and restored later; locations created in game are deleted for good.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.cuxial.com/scripts/vehicles/cuxial-gasstations/features.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
